Cap-Cut – Video Editing

1.0 Project Planning

1.1 Product Description
Cap-cut is a video editing software that can be used to create edits.

1.2 Skills Needed
To make an edit, we must need to know how to stretch images, make multi-coloured text and add the rainbow overlay.

1.3 New Skills Description
The rainbow overlay is an overlay which makes the edit rainbow yet the edit still can be see-able. It is used at the very end of making an edit.

Stretching/Reducing Images

Making text multicoloured

You could just manually put the different colours but there is an easier way to do it.

  1. Download/Screenshot the text you want
  2. Make a new project and select the design you’ll choose
  3. Go to Overlay and add the picture of the text
  4. Select Remove Background
  5. Select Chroma Key and choose the colour of the text. You can adjust the intensity to get the full text.

Example below:

Making the rainbow overlay

This effect is used in many edits, which can be used in many different software, usually to add pizzazz.

  1. Download a rainbow video
  2. Go to Cap-cut and choose your project
  3. Select Overlay
  4. Add your rainbow video
  5. Select Splice. For the example I used Soft, however you can experiment with different filters to see which one you prefer.
